Gold Coast March 2021 - DAY 2

HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY AMAN! Our YES day!

I am so very blessed to be married to this fabulous man. The best partner and father I could have wished for! It shows how much I love you if I agreed to come to GC with you and be on crazy rollercoasters with you (even though I don't enjoy them as much as you, lol)!

Here's Day 2, probably the most happening day on our trip. Read through to get to the vLog.

We woke up and realised the views were even more breath-taking than we believed at night. We all woke up early and just sat there soaking in the views. Then we did a little celebration for breakfast for Aman. And this was our first day to avail our 3-day pass to Dreamworld/Whitewater World, and since the waterpark is only open Thursday to Sunday, our only day to be at the waterpark. SO we went to Whitewater World and enjoyed only about an hour of actually using the attractions when the weather turned for the worse and thunderstorms and lightening struck. So the rides and slides were on a hold and all patrons were advised to take cover. SO we sat for hours while the dry areas of the park flooded too, enjoyed some hot food and some rain dancing with the kids. We made the most of a bad situation and still managed to have a good time. The park was officially closed at 1 PM and we had to leave.

Since it was raining heavily and we had to do something indoors, we headed to the Westfield shopping centre close to the parks and enjoyed some shopping therapy! Then we headed back to base and checked out our hotel facilities, got out for some street food and then went out for some more indoor fun!

We headed to INFINITY, its an indoor attraction with amazing mazes, sensational 3D, light and multi-sensual environments that is great fun for the whole family! Its a 20-30 minute experience that you can almost go at your own pace. After Infinity we saw Max Brenner Chocolate Bar and decided to go in there to have a coffee and some good fix of chocolate. The kids said they wanted a chocolate pizza. YEP! Going with our Yes day theme, we went with the pizza and OMG was it heavenly or WHAT! We forgot the coffee's and just enjoyed the 2 desserts and called it a dinner!

Then we walked back to the apartment, changed and headed to the hotel pools. We spent great time as a family and enjoyed a good swim, spa and sauna. What relaxing finish to the day....for the kids!

Yep, this wasn't all! We got the kids some little takeout snacks, gave them some game time and goodnight kisses and headed out for our grown up night out.

The night was abuzz and the Orchid Avenue is actually lined with nightclubs and bars which are alive not just the weekends. When in Gold Coast, every night is a party night! We picked a fabulous place called The AVENUE right across Hilton to go grab some drinks. They had all COVID-safe protocols in place and after registering onto Queensland health we got in and enjoy a few fab drinks. The atmosphere and people were friendly, seating was comfy and cosy with great music and beautiful fresh ambience Aman and I had a great time and then headed out for a walk to the Surfers paradise beach. There was an arts festival on at the beach with some amazing sand sculptures on display. We walked around in the beautiful breeze on the beach for a while and then returned back to the apartment (with a snack from Maccas of course, lol).

An amazing action packed day to celebrate the most special man of my life.

Love you Aman, wish you the best always!💗
