The Bucket List Date

Coming back to the "Stay-at-home" date me n hubby enjoyed a few weeks ago....now that we both feel the need to repeat it..LOL..I'll just share the experience and that hopefully should make me feel halfway better !! :)

So the day was to start with a doctors appointment ! Because hubby was in pain and all that. But since we got the appointment for an hour later, we thought why not goto a local Cafe and have a Big Brekkie....no not the Chholle Bhature from India...the Aussie big brekkie! So we took his parents with us to a local cafe and had a lovely, long and BIG brekkie! And without having to feel the kiddo's. Without worrying about the cutlery being thrown all around. Without gulping down food so we can quickly get over with it and get out! It was relaxing and fun!

We obviously got late for the doctors appointment !! LOL....but got through it...then my parents in law went over to brother-in-law's place....and we went for the medicines and all..and when we got back....it was so quiet...almost lonely and depressing to come home to an empty home!....that is when we realized...we were truely alone!

And so we decided to make the most of the day...first rule was...No phones (using camera is fine of course )..No TV (apart from a movie we thought we'll watch together) and No PC....

I tried to look for the DVD for a movie we both agreed on watching...Shall We Dance...(some history behind it) ;-p....but i could not find it...and in the mean time hubby suggested there was a show for Wolverine II starting soon in a Cinema nearby...so we rushed to get there and we watched an uninterrupted movie...start to finish...wow what a feeling...didn't matter how the movie was..what the movie was...we loved watching it...together...just US!

Nature that day was also adding to the mood! Beautiful rainbows on our way back home...very very pretty! two FULL rainbows...my first time ever!

All these lovely memories and it was still only afternoon..so we got back to an empty home...spent some lazy couch time together...talking and listening to music...It is amazing how much doing NOTHING refreshes you! aaah heaven!

Then of course we realized we gotta go get some grocery...so we headed out again. The grocery shopping was EXTREMELY quick (of course we had no kids to run after and control in the supermarket isles)...so then we got little surprise gifts for the kiddos (which they loved)....and with still time to go before we pick the kids....we sat at a Barista (not THE "Barista"(indian coffee chain) ..but yes trying to re-live our first date...we enjoying a good game of scrabble while sipping on some chilled frappe !! We really really enjoyed this...remembering the old times...

We had so much fun here....we actually missed the kiddos so much...and we decided we will make this week special for them as well !!

It was a simple yet beautiful day spent in the company of the one we love and will spend the rest of our lives with....such a day just reminds us why we are together...still so much in love...just like that 1st year ...

And since we enjoyed our special day without the kids...we made sure the evening and the rest of the week was special for the kiddos as well...A happy family...A happy life !
