Another enjoyable craft piece Anya loved doing last week!

Made the web on a sheet of paper
1. Drew a web pattern with a pencil on the paper.
2. Applied a mixture of glue and water all over the pattern.
3. Pasted wool all along the pattern. Done!

For the spider
1. Pasted together 4 pipe cleaners at the centre. Bent the sticks to look like 8 spider legs.
2. Pasted a pom-pom over the joint.
3. Put some googly eyes n mouth. And vola...u have the spider!

I sometimes wonder, in today’s world of technological and information overload, what are the indispensable skills that we as parents should empower our kids with to be prepared for the world in 2040’s as they venture into their work life? Will it be beneficial in 2040 that my child can code in scratch/ Javascript/ C# ? Will it matter they can do long division of a 6 digit number ? Handprint Peacocks

My darling daughter loves painting with her hands and fingers....more often than not they turn out to b messy paintings...but sometimes you wanna keep the little hand-prints as keepsakes .... Today we turned her little hand-prints into pretty peacocks ...as a reminder for us ....what our beautiful little angel was upto at this age....a few years down the line I am sure she herself would b amazed at how little her creative hands were.... And a keepsake for us for a lifetime!

The Very Special Interstate Holiday - Gold Coast March 2021 - Day 1

For the past year and a quarter we've been restricted and actually locked-down in our countries, states and homes, courtesy Covid-19. So this March, for my dear husband Aman's FORTIETH, we finally managed to get away. To Gold Coast, probably his favourite destination, for the thrill of the amusement parks!  The most exciting bit for me was getting on the airplane and flying high! Am obviously still eagerly awaiting being on an airplane home to mum and dad in India. But this was liberating and such an exciting experience nonetheless.  We left from Melbourne on the evening of Saturday, 20th March 2021 and returned on the night of Wednesday, 24th March 2021.
